Albert and Chantal’s proposal at Griffith Park felt like a scene straight out of a romantic movie. Inspired by the film La La Land, Albert chose a spot overlooking the city, where the lights of Los Angeles slowly began to twinkle as the sun dipped below the horizon. But as with any great love story, there were a few behind-the-scenes nerves. On that bustling Saturday, Griffith Park was alive with visitors, and I lost cellular service just as I arrived. Navigating through the crowds without a way to communicate made for a few tense moments, but fate (and a bit of luck) was on our side. Somehow, I managed to spot Albert and Chantal just as they reached the overlook where Albert had planned to pop the question.
With the city sprawling out beneath them and the sky painted in hues of pink, orange, and deep blue, Albert dropped to one knee. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect—right at dusk, when the magic of the golden hour still lingered, but the sparkle of the city lights began to emerge. Chantal’s reaction was priceless, full of surprise and joy, making the moment even more magical.
After the proposal, we captured the two of them as they soaked in the moment. The cityscape provided a cinematic backdrop, reminiscent of La La Land, with its romantic view of LA and the perfect dusky glow. The evening air was filled with excitement, and it was clear that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey for them.
